Description:
The Lake Crossing trip Bariloche, Argentina to Puerto Montt/Puerto Varas, Chile and vice versa can be interrupted in both ways, staying more than one night, and continue on the following day at the scheduled time. During winter time the night in Peulla Area is MANDATORY. The trip will continue the following day or the day you choose.
Please Note: Lake crossing is a touristic trip, timetable is referential. Weather conditions and amount of passengers can change it.
Itinerary:
1- Departing on a Bus from Down Town to Puerto Pañuelo.
2- Upon arrival you will board El Condor Catamaran and sail the Blest Branch of Nahuel Huapi lake.
3- You can enjoy lunch (optional) in the cozy restaurant of the Blest Hostal with a magnificent view of the lake.
4- After lunch you will go on a bus trip to Puerto Alegrewhich boarding the Frías river during 3 km.
5- Board the Caleuche or the Dalca motorship to sail Frías Lake for 15 minutes from where you shall have the first view of magnificent Tronador Hill.
6- Upon arrival at Puerto Frías you will clear Argentine customs and proceed on a bus through lush Andean vegetation to the Vicente Pérez Rosales pass and then 29 kms. to the Chilean customs at Peulla.
7- After customs, it is a short ride to the Hotel where you will dine and spend the night.
Day two:
8- After an early breakfast you will board the Lagos Andinos Catamaran and set out to cross the waters of the Todos Los Santos lake. On our trip we will be able to view Mount Puntiagudo and the impressive Osorno volcano.
9- During the trip you will have a stop to visit the magnificent Petrohué waterfalls.
10- Arrival to Petrohué or Puerto Varas and end of your trip.
