Flights  

To get to Bariloche from Buenos Aires there are many daily flights June to September from Buenos Aires (AEP) to Bariloche (BRC) and it is a 2 hour flight. Both LAN and Aerolineas Argentinas fly to Bariloche. People come to Bariloche from all over Argentina and Chile so please check our getting there section from where you would like to arrive from or please contact us for more info.

Bus Companies we recomend to come to Bariloche from Buenos Aires

The Duration of the bus trip varies from 18-22 hours one way depending on the stops along the way. If you get the Coche Cama sits are almost fully reclining, if you get the Super Cama sits fully recline. In both you get a blanket and all your meals although we recommend to bring some extra snacks just in case! They also play movies along the way and you might win a bottle of wine if they play bingo!

Cruce de Lagos Andean Lakes Crossing between Chile and Argentina 
Boat Trip from Argentina to Chile and Vice Versa

  

  

Description:

The Lake Crossing trip   Bariloche, Argentina to Puerto Montt/Puerto Varas, Chile and vice versa can be interrupted in both ways, staying more than one night, and continue on the following day at the scheduled time. During winter time the night in Peulla Area is MANDATORY. The trip will continue the following day or the day you choose.

Please Note: Lake crossing is a touristic trip, timetable is referential. Weather conditions and amount of passengers can change it.

Itinerary:

1- Departing on a Bus from Down Town to Puerto Pañuelo.

2- Upon arrival you will board El Condor Catamaran and sail the Blest Branch of Nahuel Huapi lake.

3- You can enjoy lunch (optional) in the cozy restaurant of the Blest Hostal with a magnificent view of the lake.

4- After lunch you will go on a bus trip to Puerto Alegrewhich boarding the Frías river during 3 km.

5- Board the Caleuche or the Dalca motorship to sail Frías Lake for 15 minutes from where you shall have the first view of magnificent Tronador Hill.

6- Upon arrival at Puerto Frías you will clear Argentine customs and proceed on a bus through lush Andean vegetation to the Vicente Pérez Rosales pass and then 29 kms. to the Chilean customs at Peulla.

7- After customs, it is a short ride to the Hotel where you will dine and spend the night.

Day two:

8- After an early breakfast you will board the Lagos Andinos Catamaran and set out to cross the waters of the Todos Los Santos lake. On our trip we will be able to view Mount Puntiagudo and the impressive Osorno volcano.

9- During the trip you will have a stop to visit the magnificent Petrohué waterfalls.

10- Arrival to Petrohué or Puerto Varas and end of your trip.
