Valle Nevado General Information

Please scroll down this page for trail map, lift passes and rentals information.

Valle Nevado is part of the Three Valleys of the Andes, which also include El Colorado and La Parva. Visitors may purchase an interconnect ticket which allows them to ski all three at once. Valle Nevado has extensive terrain and long runs, with excellent off-piste terrain, and world-class heliskiing. Built by a French company, Valle Nevado provides a European feel to the skiers and snowboarders who visit the area. Travel by bus or by car from Santiago takes about 1 hour, depending on the weather and road conditions, which is a short trip considering Valle Nevado is one of Chile's best developed resorts, with a full-service infrastructure that includes a disco, spa, and shopping. Eight restaurants give skiers plenty of options in regards to dining as well. Valle Nevado provides skiers and snowboarders with a good bet for day skiing, as well as multi day ski vacations.

There are three on site, first class hotels from which to choose: the Hotel Valle Nevado, 53 rooms; the Hotel Puerta del Sol, 122 rooms, and the Hotel Tres Puntas with 91 rooms. The Hotel Valle Nevado with spectacular views from the Grand Terrace has elegant styling, while the Puerta del Sol may have a more "family" feel. Tres Puntas is less formal and a favorite with local skiers and boarders.

Snow school employes 50 bilingual international instructors and mountain guides. Lessons for all levels. Ski shop has rentals for skiers and riders, retail items and repair services. Heliskiing available directly from the resort.

Eight restaurants featuring international cuisine, shops, pubs, discos, gyms, saunas, dance lessons, shows, theme parties, heated pools, theatre functions, nursury, baby sitting services, children's programs. Excursions available from the resort (subject to season and weather, call to reserve in advance): Ascent of Cerro El Plomo, Family Fun on the Inca Trail, Mountain Bike Crossing, Trekking 4000, Mountain Bike Descent from Tres Puntas, Photographic Safari to Laguna Piuquenes.

Valle Nevado Trail Map

In the photo below: the 2 options to cross from Valle Nevado to La Parva.

The black arrow starts at the “Andes Express” Chairlift in Valle Nevado, then you must ski like 200 meters and
turn left to the “Stern Crossing”, you need to get some speed but is really easy to do.

The red arrow indicates the way starting at “Valle del Inca” t-bar:

Take the “Andes Express” chairlift and go to the “Stern crossing” but turning right to the run called “LAZO” and
about 400 meters ahead you will see at your left the “Valle del Inca” t-bar. Take that lift and at the top take the
left run called “PIRCA”. A few meters ahead turn right going to the “Stern crossing” and there you are.

Both roads are indicated with signs so is really easy. For snowboarders better take “Valle del Inca”. In both
cases the view is amazing.
